Epoxy colored sand floor base treatment
Base requirements:
(1) The base must be a reinforced concrete structure. The strength grade cannot be lower than C25.
(2) The base should be raised with raw slurry and machine-finished to achieve flatness.
(3) The concrete floor base treatment requires at least 28 days of curing time in summer and appropriately extended in winter.
(4) A moisture-proof layer must be set under the base, and the moisture content of the base must be lower than 8%.
(5) The surface of the base should be kept clean during construction and no pollutants are allowed. All pollutants such as fat, grease, paint residue, chemicals and slurry must be removed.
(6) The construction temperature of epoxy colored sand floor should be controlled at more than 5℃ and the relative humidity should be controlled at less than 60%.
Epoxy colored sand floor construction method:
(1) Before entering the site, the technicians must use a moisture tester to determine the ground moisture content. Only after it reaches the construction standard of 8% or less can the following procedures be carried out.
(2) The construction personnel use cleaning tools to remove the original floating slurry and floating sand.
(3) Determine the area with a large local drop and use an angle grinder to grind the raised part.
(4) Use a dust-free grinder to grind the entire floor, remove the loose layer, cement stains, lime film and other foreign matter on the original floor, use an angle grinder to grind the area with a large local drop, and use a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor and corners.
(5) Use base repair materials to repair large depressions and cut seams on the floor.
Epoxy Colored Sand Floor Primer Construction
1. Materials
Use epoxy high penetration primer.
2. Colored Quzrtz Sand Epoxy Floor Construction Method:
Mix the materials according to the mix ratio and apply repeatedly using the scraping process. The epoxy high penetration primer seals and penetrates into the concrete base, ensuring that the epoxy colored sand floor is combined with the concrete and improving the durability of the adhesion.
3. Colored Quzrtz Sand Epoxy Floor Precautions:
(1) Depending on the density and oil absorption of the substrate, it should be applied until saturated.
(2) The primer should be applied evenly, and individual white areas should be reapplied.
(3) There must be sufficient permeability to ensure that the primer can penetrate the concrete surface.
Making colored sand (or tri-quartz sand) effect layer
1. Materials
Colored sand (tri-quartz sand) and quartz color granules blends for epoxy (transparent epoxy resin mixed and stirred colored sand material).
2. Construction method:
Use a paver to spread the thickness of about 5.5mm, use manual nail shoes to enter the corners for compaction and smoothing, and use a smoothing machine to compact and smooth the large area to make the surface flat, forming an overall seamless epoxy colored sand layer.
3. Precautions
The surface of the epoxy colored sand layer must be flat when spreading.
Transparent high-strength wear-resistant paint layer
1. Materials
Transparent high-strength polyurethane glossy or matte wear-resistant topcoat.
2. Construction method
(1) Finely grind the colored sand layer with a grinder.
(2) Clean and remove dust to obtain a good and delicate colored sand surface effect.
(3) Roll on a layer of transparent high-strength polyurethane matte wear-resistant topcoat.
3. Precautions
(1) There must be no knife marks, fine grinding and polishing.
(2) It must be clean and dust-free.
(3) Rolling must not leave any gaps.
